| Charitable Board Service: What You Need to Know and How to Get Started

The Public Interest Leaders of the Boston Bar Association are proud to present this engaging program that will explain everything from how to land a position on a Board to the skills you will need in order to be effective. With a focus on critical issues for nonprofit trustees, experts on corporate governance and non-profit law, nonprofit accounting, and fundraising, will take you step-by-step through the components of Board service. This program will be particularly valuable to lawyers who have not had significant experience serving on charitable Boards but would like to. Lawyers and non-lawyers who are already serving on Boards and want to be more knowledgeable and effective will also find this program informative. Specific Topics Include:
