Statutory, regulatory and policy changes relating to “Smart Growth” are changing the face of land use law in Massachusetts . The seminar will cover how recently enacted statutory changes impact the development process, what the new 40Q and 40R regulations are all about, and what further developments in land use law may loom in the future.

Attendees will receive a full briefing on enacted and proposed land use development statutes from proposed changes to Chapter 40A through and including recently promulgated regulations under Chapter 40R. Intense scrutiny will be given to the new opportunities presented by Chapter 40Q (district improvement financing). The program will also include an overview of recent developments in the ever-changing world of Chapter 40B.
