This program will cover the ins and outs of appraisals and valuations for real estate, personal property and closely held businesses. The experienced panel will discuss this topic with respect to each of their practice areas, including business valuation, personal property, commercial real estate, personal real estate and machinery and equipment.
Specific Topics will include:
- different types of appraisals attorneys may need to obtain when valuing assets for estate and gift tax purposes
- the requirements for getting an American Society of Appraisers accreditation in various areas of practice
- the tools each uses to determine the values of the assets
- what attorneys should know about the respective appraisal fields
