Subprime Lending Crisis: Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket? In addition, the presenters will review recently enacted mortgage lending controls and foreclosure prevention legislation and comment on lenders’ responses to the foreclosure crisis. Attendees will gain an understanding of predatory and subprime lending markets; what the subprime crisis means for lenders, owners, buyers, and sellers; and what government regulatory and enforcement actions have been taken to curtail the crisis. For those who attended January’s "Predatory Lending in the Trenches" CLE, which provided strategies to identify and pursue Truth in Lending and G.L.c. 93A claims, this is a great follow-up program!
