The Massachusetts Cost Containment, Transparency and Efficiency in the Delivery of Quality Health Care Act, enacted in August, 2008 is one of the most far reaching and comprehensive laws affecting the Massachusetts health care system. Dubbed  “Massachusetts Health Care Reform—Act 2”,  all Massachusetts health and life science lawyers need to know the new initiatives, requirements and prohibitions under this bill that will affect hospitals, physicians, pharmaceutical and device companies, nurse practitioners, academic medical centers and health insurers, which include:
