VLP's Landlord/Tenant Law Training Now Available Free on the Web

The Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association has made its 10/15 Training on the Basics of Landlord/Tenant Law available on the web. The program, which featured Honorable Jeffrey Winik, First Justice of the Boston Housing Court, Joanna Allison of the Volunteer Lawyers Project and Katy Ward of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., was free for attorneys who agreed to put their new skills to work by taking a housing case from the VLP on a pro bono basis. Now those who missed the training but are still looking to help volunteer in the Housing Court can get the training they need here.

Give legal advice to military personnel, veterans and their families.

This program, in partnership with the United States Bankruptcy Court, teaches high school students about the importance of making informed decisions regarding their finances.

Use your alternative dispute resolution skills to help litigants with both Pre-trial Case Conferencing and Mediation at the Boston Municipal Court ("BMC").
Boston Debate League

Be a Judge or Mentor for the Boston Debate League, an urban debate league in the Boston Public Schools.

Help low and moderate-income taxpayers fill out tax returns, and offer consultations on special credits.
