“Our office participates in the BBA Summer Jobs Program because it often brings high school students of color into our legal department and shows them a new world of opportunity. Boston is a very diverse city and we hope that the legal community will some day reflect our city's diversity. Participating in this program is a concrete step toward this goal.” -- Brent Henry, Vice President and General Counsel, Partners Healthcare System

I have recognized that the skills, exposure, and the interpersonal skills that I developed as a result from working at this law firm will not only beneficial for my college experience, but will be essential job experience that I may have in the future. – Summer Jobs Graduate

Summer JobsSince 1993, law firms of all sizes, government agencies and in-house law departments have made a dramatic impact in the lives of more than 300 diverse students from Boston's public high schools. They did this by providing a summer job. These jobs provided students with the experience of a lifetime.

Employers participate in the program by hiring one of many outstanding pre-selected students from the Boston Schools for 8 weeks. While the cost is minimal, the impact your firm can make on the future generation of Boston’s legal community is immeasurable.
