Meet the 2017-2018 Section Co-chairs

Bankruptcy Law Section

Lee Harrington
Lee Harrington, who returns as section co-chair for the second year, is a partner in Nixon Peabody’s Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice. He is a leader of the group’s distressed asset acquisition team and one of the group’s principal restructuring litigation specialists, practicing in both federal and state courts. Lee draws on his extensive experience in the music business in representing clients throughout the entertainment industry in music, film, television and related fields.

Jennifer Doran
A partner at Hinckley Allen, Jennifer focuses her practice on business law, with an emphasis on privately held businesses, commercial transactions, and creditors’ rights. She counsels clients on formation issues, mergers and acquisitions, contract preparation, distribution rights, licensing, and other commercial matters. This will be her first year as section co-chair.

 

Business and Commercial Litigation Section

Paula Bagger
Paula has significant experience helping clients resolve a broad range of commercial and business disputes.  She has tried, arbitrated, and settled business cases of many different types, including claims for breach of contract, fraud, unfair and deceptive business practices, and shareholder and partner disputes.  Many of her cases arise in the financial services industry, and she is experienced in cases involving mutual funds, private equity funds, investment advisors, custodian banks, administrative services providers, and broker-dealers.  This will be her first year serving as section co-chair. 

 Stephen Riden
A partner at Beck Reed Riden, Stephen is a commercial litigator who represents corporate and individual clients in a wide array of disputes across the country. He has extensive experience litigating business disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, trade secrets, and noncompete agreements. He has represented companies in a variety of governmental investigations. This will be his first year serving as section co-chair.


Civil Rights & Civil Liberties Section

Kate Cook 
As Of Counsel at Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak & Cohen, Kate advises public- and private-sector clients on government ethics, administrative law, crisis management, constitutional law, public records, lobbying, campaign finance, election law, municipal law, and legislative and regulatory drafting. Kate also represents government entities in a broad range of litigation matters, and she helps private parties who are in litigation that involves complex issues relating to government agencies and policy. This will be her second year serving as section co-chair.

Natashia Tidwell
At Collora LLP/Hogan Lovells, Natashia represents businesses and individuals in connection with white collar criminal and civil litigation matters. Her practice also focuses on internal investigations, monitorships and compliance where she applies her specialized knowledge of law enforcement practices, including the internal affairs process and policy development and review.
