Choate, Hall & Stewart Hires New Partner

Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP today announced that Brian D. Goldstein has joined the firm as a Partner in its Business & Technology Group.  Before joining Choate, Mr. Goldstein was a Director at Goulston & Storrs. Mr. Goldstein has over 20 years of experience in the areas of business and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and corporate finance.  He previously was a Partner at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault in Boston.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Goldstein was Assistant General Counsel at Groundwater Technology, Inc., where he handled SEC reporting; acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures; and the sale of a controlling interest of the company to Fluor Daniel.

Mr. Goldstein will continue to represent growth oriented Internet, digital media, semi-conductor, marketing, software, and medical device companies and venture capital and private equity firms in the areas of business counseling, mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings, technology licensing and distribution agreements, and strategic partnerships and joint ventures.  His international practice includes cross border financings and acquisitions, and a particular expertise representing companies with operations in Israel.

Mr. Goldstein is a member of the American Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the Association for Corporate Growth.  He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1988 and his B.A., with honors, from the University of Virginia in 1983.  He is admitted to the practice in Massachusetts.
