On Monday, December 13th the BBA's Consumer Bankruptcy
Committee will be holding their Second
Annual "Rap" where guests will have a chance to network,
socialize and share stories about loss mitigation and other topics.
Guests are encouraged to bring a donation for "Toys for Tots", which
got BBA Week wondering what types of gifts our members like, so we
are asking:
"If you could receive one gift this
holiday season, what would it be?"
If you would like to respond to a future Voices of
the Bar, make sure you send a headshot,
and contact Eric Fullerton at efullerton@bostonbar.org. |

Timothy M. Murphy - Sunstein Kann Murphy &
Timbers LLP "One of my colleagues tells me he is
working on a 'day-extender'--a device that would extend the
day by inserting a few extra hours. He hasn't figured
out how to make it work yet. It would be nice if Santa
left me a 'day-extender' this year. Hopefully, that's
something the elves can invent in the next week or
two!"

Brandon Scruggs - WilmerHale "Probably
an iPhone or a Droid. I'd been putting off getting one,
but I found out that my Mom just got one. When my Mom
buys technology before me, it's a giant red flag that I am way
behind the times. Like the Garmin, I'm sure my smart
phone will quickly become a device that I can't function
without."

Mary Beth Findlay - Boston University School of
Law "A mild and short winter. I'm originally from
California so I firmly believe winter should end before March
starts."

David Connaughton - Attorney at Law "As
a recent graduate of Franklin Pierce Law, the one gift I hope
for this holiday season is a job as a patent attorney. After
graduation in May, I spent the summer studying for, and
passing, the Massachusetts, Connecticut and Patent Bar Exams.
After the bar exams, I have been updating my intellectual
property law blog
and doing various contract work. However, I am eager to begin
my career, and with law school loans looming, the greatest
gift I could hope for would be a full time job as a patent
attorney."
