Peter M. Acton, Jr. focuses his practice on commercial
disputes. In addition to representing clients (ranging from Fortune
50 companies to smaller Massachusetts-based businesses) in federal and
state courts as part of his general commercial litigation practice, Peter
has substantial experience with government investigations and white-collar

Daniel P. Haley practices in the areas of state and
federal regulatory compliance, government contracts, political and
campaign finance law, government strategies, and complex commercial
litigation. Prior to joining McDermott, Dan served in the Office of
the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, first as Deputy Legal
Counsel to the Governor, and then as Chief of Staff and Legal Counsel to
Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey and Assistant Chief of Staff to Governor
Mitt Romney. He remains actively involved in politics, and regularly
advises political candidates in state and federal election
campaigns. In 2010 he was named one of the ten most influential
Republicans in Massachusetts by Campaigns & Elections magazine.

David Quinn Gacioch concentrates his practice on
white-collar criminal defense, SEC defense, and government
investigations. He has particular experience representing healthcare
providers in connection with False Claims Act and Antikickback Act
investigations. Dave’s practice also includes product liability
defense, general commercial litigation/arbitration, and extensive pro bono
work. Dave previously served as law clerk to the Honorable Ernest C.
Torres, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District
