Nixon Peabody Names New CEO and Managing Partner

Nixon Peabody LLP has named Boston-based attorney Andrew I. Glincher to serve as the firm's next Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner.  Mr. Glincher will become leader of the firm in early 2011 working closely with current CEO and managing partner Richard F. Langan, Jr. to ensure a smooth transition.  The firm's policy committee spent several months conducting an extensive review of several well respected partner candidates for managing partner and solicited feedback from the entire partnership during the review process.

Mr. Glincher, who is based in the firm’s Boston office, joined Nixon Peabody's predecessor firm Peabody & Brown in 1987.  Since 2004, he has served as managing partner of the Boston office, which is the firm’s largest office.  Mr. Glincher is a preeminent, nationally-recognized attorney who builds and leads significant client service teams.  His practice focuses on representation of special servicers, asset managers, lenders, owners, and developers of real estate, business owners, professional service firms, and various parties in the negotiation and resolution of business and real estate disputes.  He will continue to represent the firm’s business and real estate clients while serving as CEO and Managing Partner. 

Mr. Glincher has spent his whole career in Boston.  He grew up in Brockton, the son of a cab driver and put himself through college graduating from Boston College, where he now teaches a finance course.  He graduated from Northeastern University School of Law.  He is immediate past Chairman of the Board at Hebrew SeniorLife, a nonprofit Massachusetts-based organization that provides medical and housing services to the elderly.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
