Lisa Tittemore, a Partner and Chair of the Trademark and Copyright Practice Groups at Sunstein Kann Murphy & Timbers LLP, was honored recently by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of the "Top Women of Law." The award recognizes women who have made inspiring contributions in the fields of social justice, pro bono advocacy, and business.

Lisa represents clients in large-scale intellectual property litigation and complex intellectual property matters involving patent, copyright, and trademark issues throughout the world.  She is a leader in the legal community, and serves as Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association's Litigation Section and Treasurer of the Mass. Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.  In addition, Lisa is active in numerous other professional and community organizations including the Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts, the Tufts Lawyers Association, Citizen Schools' 8th Grade Academy tutoring program, the FIRST robotics program, and the Cambridge Montessori School.  Lisa previously was a recipient of the Boston Bar Association's Children and Youth Outreach Leadership Award.

In referring to this most recent honor, Lisa remarked, "I love the practice of law, the challenge of intellectual property law in particular, and working with very smart and caring colleagues.  I've always wanted a career where I work with people and work to help people.  I have been inspired and influenced by my mother, a very creative and caring person, and the many influential mentors I've had during my career. Bob Kann, Managing Partner of Sunstein said, "Lisa is a top-notch trial lawyer and brilliant intellectual property tactician.  She also makes time in her busy schedule to make substantial contributions to our community.  The Top Women of Law recognition Lisa has received is well-deserved."

Lisa lives in Arlington with her husband and two daughters.
