Nixon Peabody LLP has announced
that Lawrence S. DiCara has been named chairman of A Better City (ABC), an
association of Boston's business and institutional leaders working on policies
and initiatives related to transportation, land development and the environment.
Larry was among the founding members of ABC under its original name, the Artery
Business Committee, when it was created to represent the downtown business
community during the Central Artery/Tunnel Project. His term became effective
January 1 this year.
"I've been with A Better City for 22 years, and I'm honored to have the
opportunity to lead this great city-building organization as it continues its
work on issues that are absolutely vital to the future economic competitiveness
of Boston, the surrounding region and the entire Commonwealth," said Larry.
Larry has served on the BBA's Council, Executive Committee, Legislative
Advisory Committee and the Boston Bar Foundation's Board of
Trustee's.
