James Coyne King, co-founder and President of Hanify & King, has
announced that the new name of the firm is Murphy & King, Professional
Corporation. The firm will continue to be led by King and by Harold B.
Murphy, founder and director of the firm's Bankruptcy and Financial
Restructuring Group. King also announced that the firm has added three
attorneys to its Litigation and Intellectual Property (IP) Groups, including
Daniel J. Lyne, who has rejoined the firm as a shareholder.
Daniel J. Lyne, who practiced at
the firm from 1987-2005, has rejoined the firm as a shareholder and co-leader of
the firm's Commercial Litigation Department. Lyne was previously a
shareholder at the firm before becoming General Counsel at GSI Group, a publicly
traded high technology company. Most recently, Lyne was a partner at
Bowditch & Dewey. His practice includes commercial business disputes
involving mergers and acquisitions, IP licenses, professional malpractice, and
corporate governance. He also represents clients in a broad range of
intellectual property disputes, including technology development, licensing, and
patent royalty and software copyright disputes.
"It's great to have Dan back at the firm. His business and litigation
experience will be tremendous assets to Murphy & King as we build upon the
successes we have enjoyed over the past thirty plus years," said King.
