The M. Ellen Carpenter Financial Literacy Program, a joint project of the BBA
and United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts, is
entering its seventh year. The Program seeks volunteers to instruct high
school students through modules about basic financial issues like personal
finance and budgeting, buying a car, using credit, and the consequences
associated with credit problems. Attorneys of all backgrounds are encouraged to
volunteer to teach one session. The Program will begin in March and is currently
accepting volunteer registration on the BBA's web calendar. To sign up for
a session, please click here.
