The global law firm Jones Day has
announced that John D. Casais will join the Firm's Boston office as a partner in
the Banking & Finance practice. Mr. Casais arrives from Edwards Angell
Palmer & Dodge.
"John brings a wealth of experience to our office and terrific client
relationships both in Boston and throughout the nation," said Traci Lovitt,
Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Boston office. "His arrival adds additional
transactional capabilities to the Boston office and keeps us on track with our
goal of becoming a full-service law firm in Boston with top talent in a variety
of areas."
Mr. Casais has particular expertise in leveraged finance, representing
commercial and investment banks, finance companies, investment and hedge funds,
finance companies and operating companies in a broad range of lending
transactions and across a wide spectrum of industries, as well as in the
resolution of troubled situations. He is also experienced in structured
finance and project finance.

Mr. Casais earned his BA degree from The College of Wooster, with honors, and
his JD from Boston College Law School magna cum laude.
