AALAM's Fourth Annual Speed Mentoring Event

Back by popular demand, on February 16, 2011, the Asian American Lawyers of Massachusetts ("AALAM") held their Fourth Annual Speed Mentoring Night, with 29 mentors, including a couple of judges, and 40 mentees signed up.  The attendees were graciously hosted by Ropes & Gray LLP at their new Boston offices in the Prudential Tower, who also provided hors d’oeuvres and beverages for the event.  Richard D. Batchelder, Hiring Partner for Ropes & Gray LLP, extended a warm welcome to all.  As in the past, the event consisted of an opening meet & greet reception followed by rounds of 10-15 minute mentoring and networking sessions in which law students, recent graduates, and junior lawyers were paired with more senior attorneys with a variety of backgrounds (firms of all sizes, in-house attorneys, government and public sector attorneys, and solo practitioners).  The sessions were meant to be brief and informative and to create a unique opportunity for dialogue with experienced attorneys from different fields and affiliations.
