Terence P. McCourt has joined Foley
Hoag as a partner in our Labor & Employment Practice Group. Terry has a
broad labor and employment practice that includes counseling local and national
employers in developing employee and labor-relations strategies. Terry also
represents employers in a range of litigation matters, including employment
discrimination, wage-hour cases, and the enforcement of non-compete agreements.
Terry was previously a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig where he was chairman
of the Boston Office Labor and Employment Group. Terry formerly served as Deputy
Chief Legal Counsel to former Governor William Weld of Massachusetts and General
Counsel to the Massachusetts Secretary of Labor. Terry is a frequent speaker and
writer on labor and employment topics. He is the Co-Chair of
the BBA's Labor and Employment Law Section, and a Member of the WGBH
Corporate Executive Council.
Terry received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his
J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
