For the third year running, on March 2nd, Boston College Law School ("BC
Law") held its Diversity Bar cocktail event at the school, inviting
representatives from state affinity and mainstream bar associations to come,
mingle with the students, and discuss with them life after law school vis a vis
their respective groups. In attendance were members from the Asian
American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts ("AALAM"), Boston Bar Association
("BBA"), Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys ("MAHA"), Massachusetts
Bar Association ("MBA"), Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association ("MBLA"),
Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association ("Mass LGBTQ Bar"), South Asian Bar
Association ("SABA GB") and Women’s Bar Association ("WBA"). These members
convened in the Law School Commons to talk and meet with the next generation of
lawyers at their respective tables set up with information on bar programs and
other membership benefits. The event was a wonderful joint effort by all
of the organizations involved, and was once again sponsored by Wilmer Cutler
Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP ("WilmerHale LLP") as part of its sponsorship of BC
Law Diversity Month.
