Tables are on sale now for the Boston Bar Association's Law Day Dinner,
taking place on June 1, 2011 at the Seaport World Trade Center. The theme
of this year’s event is "Focusing on the Future," and the BBA is proud to
welcome keynote speaker Dean Martha Minow of Harvard Law School.
An expert in human rights and a prolific author, Dean Minow is also an
innovative scholar who is dedicated to studying new ideas about meeting the
needs of a changing profession. Dean Minow chaired Harvard Law School’s
curriculum reform committee, and has spoken extensively about the future of
legal education.
This year, the Boston Bar Association is celebrating 250 years of
history. The BBA traces its roots back to 1761, when President John Adams
convened meetings of Boston attorneys in the taverns around Beacon Hill to
discuss the most pressing issues of the time. We hope you will join us at
this year’s Law Day Dinner, where we will continue this tradition and celebrate
our history by focusing on the future of our organization, our community and our
profession.
