The Boston office of Weil, Gotshal &
Manges LLP was invited by its client, Advent International, to form a team
for a 197 mile Ragnar Relay race
to benefit Partners in Health. Each member ran 3 legs, ranging from 3 - 10
miles each, taking breaks between legs in one of two dramatically decorated Weil
vans. The team called themselves the "Weil'd Things" and covered the vans
with images from Maurice Sendak's classic children's book, even attaching wild
thing toys to the vans. Despite grueling hills and sleep deprivation, Weil
finished 75th out of 214 teams and 7th out of coed corporate teams with a
blended pace of 8:43/mile and a total running time of 28 hours and 42 minutes.
Weil also won first place in the best decorated van category!
