Charles Ogletree has been named
keynote speaker for the BBA's 2011 Annual Meeting. Ogletree is the Harvard Law
School Jesse Climenko Professor of Law, the Founding and Executive Director of
the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice and a celebrated
author. The BBA's Annual Meeting will take place on October 13th at the Westin
Copley Place.
Described as "a great teacher who seizes every great teaching moment to
explain and educate" and "possessing one of the most brilliant legal minds in
American culture," Ogletree has written many books including The Presumption
of Guilt: The Arrest of Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., When Law
Fails: Making Sense of Miscarriages of Justice, From Lynch Mobs to the
Killing State: Race and the Death Penalty in America and All Deliberate
Speed: Reflections on the First Half-Century of Brown v. Board of
Education.
