Nixon Peabody Attorney Named Honorary Counsul of Latvia

International law firm Nixon Peabody LLP has announced that Talis E. Seja has been named Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Massachusetts. Talis, an associate within the Global Finance practice of Nixon Peabody LLP, was appointed to this position by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. 

In this role, Talis will seek to promote better understanding within Massachusetts about Latvia and its people and facilitate increased commercial, educational, and cultural ties between Massachusetts and Latvia.

Talis is a member of the Corporate Trust Team at Nixon Peabody, where he specializes in structured finance, derivatives and banking law. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D) and Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service (B.S.F.S.), and has also studied at Boston College Law School and The London School of Economics and Political Science. Talis speaks Latvian fluently.
