On Tuesday, July 12th, the BBA's Diversity & Inclusion Section will hold the 13th Annual Strategies for Success: Summer Associates Diversity & Inclusion Luncheon where a diverse panel of Boston lawyers will discuss what strategies they used to launch their career to a group of summer associates. Some of these associates are in Boston for the first time, and they might need some help to make sure they get the "best of Boston" during their summer experience. On the topic of giving advice, BBA Week is asked:

"What is one "must do" activity when visiting Boston?"

If you would like to respond to a future Voices of the Bar, make sure you send a headshot, and contact Eric Fullerton at efullerton@bostonbar.org.

Joshua Bowman – Sherin & Lodgen
"Batting practice (BP) followed by watching a game from on top of the Green Monster at Fenway Park on a clear summer night.  While watching a game from the Monster seats is certainly a thrill in and of itself, to me the ultimate Fenway experience is getting to the park early enough to "catch" BP (which usually lasts from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM for an evening game with a 7:10PM start time).  Unlike other non-premium sections of the Park that are open to all ticket holders during BP, only those holding Monster tickets can gain access to the Monster section.  Since visiting players generally spend a lot of their cage-time practicing lacing line drives over Fenway's iconic short leftfield wall, the experience of having major league hitters hitting balls directly at you is like none other.  One last piece of advice: bring a glove."

Anupam Roy – LL.M. Graduate in Banking and Financial Law, BU School of Law
"One should definitely visit the Boston Aquarium. This is a great learning experience for adults and especially for children who are simply excited to see the under water creatures. The great large tank is a mammoth tank housing thousands of sea creatures. The movie which is shown as part of the Aquarium visit further enriches the experience of being there at the aquarium. These movies have been shot at places where only the best crew can go under water and the narration of these movies is provided by well known Hollywood actors."

Paul C. Connors - Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP
"When the weather is nice, I love spending time by the water -- whether it's a boat outing on the Charles River or in Boston Harbor, lunch on an outdoor patio by the waterfront, or a run on the esplanade along the banks of the Charles."

Vincent DeVito – Bowditch & Dewey
"The USS Constitution. It represents the wonder about the United States of America and is a case study of persistence."

Jonathan Burky – Attorney at Law
"One of my favorite spots to visit in Boston is the reflecting pool at the Christian Science Plaza. I love the architecture of The Original Mother Church and The Mother Church Extension. I also recommend touring The Mapparium®, which is a three-story, painted-glass globe that shows a perspective of the world as of 1935. The Mapparium® is located in The Mary Baker Eddy Library."
