Judge Joan Feeney Elected President of NCBJ

Congratulations to Judge Joan N. Feeney -- a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Massachusetts since 1992, and a member of the BBA since 1978 – on being elected President of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges ("NCBJ")!  She will begin her one year term on October 15, 2011. The NCBJ is an association of the approximately 350 sitting and retired bankruptcy judges of the United States which has several purposes: to provide continuing legal education to judges, lawyers and other insolvency professionals, to promote cooperation among the Bankruptcy Judges, to secure a greater degree of quality and uniformity in the administration of the Bankruptcy system and to improve the practice of law in the Bankruptcy Courts of the United States. Judge Feeney is also co-chair and co-founder, along with Janet E. Bostwick, of the M. Ellen Carpenter Financial Literacy Program.
