BBA Volunteers Help "Green" Fenway Park

The Environmental Law Section kicked off its first public service event last Tuesday, as 35 volunteers joined the Red Sox Green Team to promote recycling at Fenway Park. Section members -- along with friends and family -- walked through the stands collecting plastic bottles and cups while also encouraging fans to recycle in all aspects of their lives.  But wait, it got even better…  Volunteers got to watch the home team take home a much needed "W" against the Blue Jays.

The Boston Red Sox launched green initiatives during the 2008 season as a five-year plan to explore the use of environmentally sustainable practices and technologies at Fenway Park.

The Environmental Law Pro Bono Committee will be offering a myriad of public service opportunities this program year. For more information please contact BBA Public Service Coordinator Stephanie Lee @ slee@bostonbar.org
