Nixon Peabody LLP has announced
that Boston Immigration associate Courtney New has been selected by the Greater
Boston Chamber of Commerce to be part of the Chamber’s Women’s Leadership
Program. This program is limited to an exclusive group of emerging women leaders
from within Chamber member organizations and is aimed at enhancing their
leadership skills and engaging them in the region’s business and civic
communities. As part of her involvement in the program, starting this month and
continuing throughout the year, Ms. New will be participating in a leadership
development program at Simmons School of Management.
As a member of the immigration team, Ms. New advises individual and corporate
clients on business immigration strategy and has helped a wide range of clients,
from start-ups to large multi-national corporations, navigate the complexities
of the U.S. immigration system. She assists clients seeking to obtain permanent
residence, labor certification, temporary work visas and naturalization and also
regularly counsels employers on issues relating to hiring practices and
employment eligibility verification compliance. Ms. New earned her JD from
Boston College Law School and is a graduate of Colby College, B.A., magna cum
laude.
