Gov. Deval L. Patrick has nominated Mary T. Sullivan as Associate Justice of
the Appeals Court and Robert B. Foster as Associate Justice of the Land
Court.
Mary is a partner at Segal Roitman, LLP and Co-Chair of the BBA's Labor &
Employment Section. If confirmed, Mary will fill the vacancy on the Appeals
Court created by the appointment of Justice Fernande R. V. Duffly to the Supreme
Judicial Court.
Robert is Counsel at Rackemann,
Sawyer & Brewster and former Co-Chair of the BBA's Delivery of Legal
Services Section (1998-2001) and Real Estate Section (2004-2006). If approved by
the Governor's Council Robert will fill the vacancy on the Land Court created by
the retirement of Judge Charles W. Trombly, Jr.
