A qualified candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law
school and be a member in good standing of the Massachusetts or New York
bar. The preferred candidate will have at least three years experience in
environmental law and be able to assist in providing legal advice to a
multi-state gas and electric utility in the environmental area. Knowledge
of the major federal environmental laws is required. In addition,
familiarity with the regulatory program of Massachusetts, New York or Rhode
Island is preferred. Experience with brownfield transactions, advising
clients regarding interpretations of regulatory compliance or environmental
litigation is preferred. The candidate must possess excellent analytical
skills and be able to work independently without close daily supervision.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work
cooperatively with other counsel and business clients to develop creative,
practical solutions to assist in achieving corporate goals. Please send your
