Last Thursday, the BBA Lawyer Referral Service
(LRS) staff set up shop at the Seventh Annual Massachusetts Conference for
Women, which drew more than 7,000 women from across the state and New England.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Live Fearlessly.” The day-long
event featured over 100 speakers and 120 exhibitors who shared ideas,
products, practices, and experiences with conference attendees. As they stopped by
the BBA’s booth, attendees requested referrals to attorneys who could
help them with drafting a will, filing for divorce, and filing a medical malpractice
lawsuit.
Cynthia MacCausland, an LRS attorney who is a member of the LRS Review
Committee, Co-Chair of the Family Law Section Pro Bono Committee, and a member
of the Active Duty Military and Veterans Committee, volunteered her time at the
conference to speak with family members of military personnel and veterans about
the BBA’s
Veterans Initiative.
A number of conference attendees also stopped by the booth to inquire
about the BBA’s Mission. BBA Section Program Assistant Patricia Johnson was on
hand to provide information to attendees about the wide range of programs and
opportunities that the association has to offer.
The BBA Lawyer Referral Service is only ABA-approved lawyer referral service
in the greater Boston area.
