The BBA is delighted to announce that Deborah Manus of
Nutter, McClennen & Fish and Paul
Cushing of Partners HealthCare
have been
named Co-Chairs of the Boston Bar Association's 2012 Annual Meeting. Deb
currently serves as co-managing partner of Nutter, McClennen & Fish, a
member of the BBA's Trusts and Estates Steering Committee, and is a member of
the Society of Fellows of the Boston Bar Foundation. Paul is legal counsel at
Partners Healthcare, serves as co-chair of the BBA's Ethics Committee and is
also a member of the Society of Fellows.

This year's Annual Meeting will be held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel on
Friday, September 21. The BBA is excited to welcome Senator Patrick Leahy as the
keynote speaker for the event. Senator Leahy is the Chairman of the Senate
Judiciary Committee and is a senior member of the Agriculture Committee and
Appropriations Committee, where he serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on
State and Foreign Operations. Leahy has been active on human rights
issues, and headed the Senate's negotiations on the 2001 anti-terrorism bill,
the USA PATRIOT Act. He is a leader on internet and technology issues, and
was a co-founder and remains a co-chair of the Congressional Internet
Caucus. Senator Leahy is also known as a leader on issues of conservation
and environmental protection, and is consistently ranked as one of the top
environmental legislators by conservation organizations.
