The 23rd Annual Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference is fast approaching.
Section Co-Chairs John T. Morrier of Casner & Edwards, LLP and Jeanne P.
Darcey of Sullivan & Worcester LLP have organized a spectacular program --
addressing secured creditor issues, updates to issues surrounding Stern v.
Marshall, and the latest guidance on attorney-client privilege. The
conference, Massachusetts’ largest bankruptcy event of the year, will be held on
May 30th at the Taj Boston (15 Arlington Street) overlooking the beautiful
Boston Public Gardens. The educational program commences at 3:00 p.m. and
upon its conclusion at 6:00 p.m. members will assemble to enjoy a cocktail
reception and light supper buffet with ample opportunity for bench-bar
here to register or to learn more about the 23rd Annual Bankruptcy Bench Bar
In addition to offering a 50% discount on the registration
price for all attorneys who are first-time attendees of the conference, the
Bankruptcy Section is pleased to welcome these first-time attendees, new
attorneys and law students to network with senior members of the Section through
the Bankruptcy Section Ambassador Program. All law students, first-time
attendees, and new lawyers who register
in advance for the Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference will be invited to
In its second year, the Ambassador Program takes some of the
“work” out of networking by facilitating the introduction of newer BBA members
and conference participants to an established practitioner and BBA Bankruptcy
Section Member a/k/a an “Ambassador”.
Each participant gets paired with a
Section Ambassador and will attend a special pre-program meet and greet
reception during Conference registration. Bankruptcy Section Membership
Committee Co-Chairs Meg McKenzie Feist of Choate Hall & Stewart LLP and
Natalie Sawyer of Murphy & King, P.C. look forward to offering this program
to newer attorneys in an effort to help them make that initial breakthrough with
a potential mentor. Ms. McKenzie Feist describes the Ambassador Program as
“a unique opportunity for new Bankruptcy practitioners to gain a professional
ally outside their firm or organization.”
If you are a Bankruptcy
Section member interested in serving as an Ambassador, please contact the CLE
