CLE Roundup

In 2013, the BBA welcomed over 3,000 registrants to more than 50 CLE programs at 16 Beacon Street.  Nearly 800 additional registrants viewed programs live via webcast on West LegalEdcenter

Here is a sampling of highlights from 2013:

  • 2013 commenced with a popular January program that gave attendees a status report 18 months after the implementation of the Dodd-Frank Whistleblower Act.  This year, we will feature another legislative review when we take a look at Health Care Reform and Chapter 224 of the Acts of 2012: One Year After Implementation on Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
  • In May, we celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the BBA’s Annual Workshop for Public Sector Labor Relations Specialists held at Harvard Law School.  We are now accepting early registrations for this year’s program to be held on May 3, 2014– click here for more information!
  • This fall, we trained over 100 attorneys to assist military personnel, veterans, and their families via the LRS Military Legal Help Line at four CLE Programs covering the areas of Bankruptcy and Consumer Finance, Domestic Relations, Estate Planning, Employment Law Issues, Benefits, and Landlord Tenant Law. You can read more about these programs in our Public Service Blog, Beyond the Billable.
  • In December, the Health Law Section packed the house for the sold out Health Care General Counsel Forum.  Over 100 attorneys assembled to hear about pressing risk issues from eight local provider, payor, and public sector GC’s.  Check out photos from the program here!

If you missed any of 2013’s programs, you can still place an order to catch up on what you missed by purchasing the course materials from our CLE Bookstore.

The CLE Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who chaired a program and/or served on a CLE panel in 2013.
