Looking for a Mentor? The BBA Has You Covered

Attention new lawyers! Don't miss out on the opportunity to become involved in the Boston Bar Association's Group Mentoring Program and become part of the next generation of diverse leaders in Boston's legal community.

The BBA is now accepting applications for our 2014-2015 Group Mentoring Program. Apply now to be paired with an experienced attorney to provide guidance, encouragement, and tools for career enrichment.

The program consists of several small mentoring groups, each lead by 2 experienced attorneys. The groups meet monthly for guided discussions about career development, work life balance issues and professional challenges.  If you are an up-and-coming lawyer who has been out of law school for less than 5 years we encourage you to participate!

Don’t just take it from us, here are some words from past mentees:

"My mentors connected me with contacts I could speak with about furthering my career. I am extraordinarily impressed and grateful for their sincere devotion to the program."

"It is wonderful to have a group of individuals who are committed to facilitating relationships with other members of the bar, and it has proved to be a helpful forum to run ideas, concerns and questions by more senior members."

"Joining the BBA Mentoring Program was one of the best decisions I've made in my career. My mentors always made themselves available to lend an ear, provide insight and give candid advice.  Even when this year's program comes to a close, I know that my mentoring group will continue to stay in touch and support each other as much as possible."

The BBA is forming mentoring groups for the fall now. Contact Maggie DeMoura at 617-778-1946 or mdemoura@bostonbar.org by Friday, September 26, 2014 if you would like to participate.
