Underscoring Thomas M. Menino's unparalleled leadership
and service to the community throughout his 20 years as Mayor of Boston, Boston Bar Foundation (BBF) President Jack Clymer today announced that the BBF will
honor Mayor Menino with the BBF's highly coveted Public Service Award on the
evening of January 25 at the John
& Abigail Adams Benefit
at the Museum of
Fine Arts Boston.

Mayor Menino. We here at the BBF have witnessed firsthand the Mayor's
longstanding commitment to Boston's underserved children, families, and
individuals. Whether it's his unwavering support for the Boston Bar
Association Summer Jobs Program, his advocacy for CORI reform, or his leadership
of efforts to help those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings, Mayor Menino
has been front and center and has received national recognition for his
decades-long dedication to the City of Boston. Our city is truly a better

The John & Abigail Adams Benefit is the
premiere fundraising event of the BBF for supporting the delivery of legal
services to low-income and underserved individuals and families. With the
event more than 6 months away, the BBF has already raised over $250,000 in
