Cherny P.C., a 10-person divorce and family law firm, has become the Boston Bar Association's newest sponsor
firm. Founded in 1984 by partners Jacob M. Atwood and David E. Cherny, the firm,
located in Boston's Back Bay, concentrates its practice in the area of
sophisticated divorce matters.

firms in the country. The firm has been involved in numerous family law cases,
several of which have gone to the Supreme Judicial Court and have had a
significant role in shaping family law in Massachusetts.
take an active involvement in the BBA: many of their attorneys have been
long-time members of the Family Law Section, and both Thomas Ritter and Mark
Smith have served as Co-Chairs of the Family Law Education Committee. Smith has
also co-chaired the Family Law Public Policy Committee and has been a member of
multiple Family Law Section steering committees. Atwood & Cherny attorneys,

program panels and CLE's.
