The Boston Bar Foundation – the charitable affiliate of the Boston Bar Association – is proud to announce the 2015-2016 officers recently elected by the Board of Trustees. The officers lead a 20-member board — representing a diverse group of leaders from the Boston legal and corporate communities – in overseeing the activities of the BBF.

President, Lisa C. Goodheart

Lisa is a partner at Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak & Cohen, P.C., where she focuses on environmental, real estate and business disputes. She is a member of the Court Management Advisory Board, a former Chair of the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission, and a past President of New England Women in Real Estate (now CREW Boston).
Lisa is a Sustaining Fellow in the Society of Fellows. At the BBA, she has served as President, Vice-President, Treasurer, as a member of the Council, the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee and the Nominating Committee, and as Co-Chair of the Environmental Law Section and Chair of the Environmental Litigation Committee. She is also a supporter of the performing arts, and has served on the boards of several dance companies.
Lisa is a graduate of Williams College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
President-Elect, Anthony Froio

Anthony is Regional Managing Partner of the Boston office at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P., where he represents clients in complex litigation related to intellectual property and trademark infringement, employment and bankruptcy litigation, as well as general commercial disputes. Anthony is highly involved with the Foundation and has served as a member of the BBF Executive Committee, Chair of the Development Committee and is a BBF Senior Fellow.
Anthony serves as Treasurer of the Holy Cross Varsity Club in Worcester, Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of Tufts Medical Center,and Chair of the Personnel Board for the town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. He is also active with several professional associations including the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Boston Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Boston Patent Law Association.
Anthony is a graduate of the College of Holy Cross and Suffolk University Law School.
Secretary, Diana K. Lloyd

A Practice Group Leader at Choate Hall & Stewart LLP, Diana has over 20 years of experience in federal and state government enforcement matters, internal investigations and related business and securities litigation. Diana is a former Co-Chair of the Criminal Law Section, and a member of the BBF Grants Committee.
For six years, Diana was a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Act panel, accepting court appointments to represent indigent defendants in federal criminal cases. She is active in the NYU Law Alumni of New England and has served on various committees for the South Area Solomon Schechter Day School. She has also taught in the Mock Trial Program, an after-school enrichment program facilitated jointly by Citizen Schools and Discovering Justice for Boston public school students.
Diana is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and New York University School of Law.
Treasurer, David L. Ferrera

David is a partner in the Litigation Department at Nutter, McClennen & Fish LLP and chair of the Product Liability Litigation practice group. His practice is concentrated in civil litigation, focusing on defense of drug and medical device manufacturers. He has appeared on New England Cable News (NECN) and had op-eds pieces published in The Boston Globe, The National Law Journal and Mass High Tech on issues involving drug and medical device litigation.
David is actively involved in public service initiatives throughout Greater Boston. He is past Vice Chair of the board of directors of the Legal Advocacy and Resource Center, Inc. (LARC), a nonprofit organization that operates a free telephone legal hotline and completes intake screenings for Greater Boston Legal Services. David serves on the BBF Grants Committee and is a member of the Society of Fellows.
David is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and New York University School of Law.
The mission of the Boston Bar Foundation is to promote justice by funding and promoting innovation in legal services, enhancing access to justice for the underserved, and supporting the public interest activities of the bar. In June of 2015, the BBF announced $950,000 in grants to 23 community organizations that work to provide legal services to those in need.
