Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough Becomes BBA Sponsor

The Boston Bar Association is proud to announce its newest sponsor, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP.  Through its sponsorship, Nelson Mullins has committed to supporting the BBA's mission to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, and serve the community at large.

Founded in 1897, Nelson Mullins has demonstrated its capacity to provide clients with legal services rooted in a deep understanding of the ever-changing needs of businesses. The firm’s Boston office is one of 17 offices nationwide, with attorneys working in more than 100 different practice areas including litigation, corporate services, intellectual property, government relations, employment and labor, mergers and acquisitions, financial services, technology, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and consumer financial services.  Nelson Mullins represents clients from large international companies to local businesses.

Attorneys from Nelson Mullins’s Boston office have bolstered the BBA’s work in many ways, including Managing Partner Peter Haley’s contributions to the Marathon Assistance Project following the tragedy that unfolded at the Boston Marathon finish line in 2013.

The firm has supported other important BBA initiatives by hiring students as part of the BBA Summer Jobs program for Boston teens and sponsoring the BBA’s annual Law Day Dinner.

"We have a deep appreciation for the work of the BBA and its members, and as our office in Boston continues to grow we want to ensure that all of our lawyers are engaged in the work of the BBA and that we do our best to emulate the tradition of service to the bar and the community that the existing sponsor firms have established, " said Haley.

In 2017, Nelson Mullins’s Boston office received recognition from U.S. News – Best Lawyers as a Tier 1 “Best Law Firm” in the area of patent law. The firm as a whole has achieved numerous rankings in Best Lawyers, Chambers, AmLaw and Law 360.

The BBA is proud to welcome Nelson Mullins to its group of distinguished sponsors.
The Boston Bar Association traces its origins to meetings convened by John Adams, who provided pro bono representation to the British soldiers prosecuted for the Boston Massacre and went on to become the nation’s second president. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, serve the community at large and promote diversity and inclusion.
