The BBA's public policy work is as extensive as it is varied. BBA Sections examine public policy questions related to their areas of practice, and to draw on both their substantive and technical expertise to propose innovative responses. Sections also propose formal BBA comment on pending legislation, agency regulations, or proposed court rule changes, in accordance with the internal BBA approval process. The BBA also constitutes task forces to study specific public policy issues in depth, and to propose concrete solutions to existing problems. The Association also advocates for adequate funding for the courts and civil legal services each year during the state budget process. |
