Boston Bar President Applauds Judge Botsford’s Nomination for SJC
BOSTON, MA – Boston Bar Association President Jack Cinquegrana today issued the following statement applauding Governor Deval Patrick's nomination of Judge Margot Botsford as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court:
"As we noted when we presented Judge Botsford with the Boston Bar Association’s Haskell Cohn Distinguished Judicial Service Award in June 2003 for her service as a Superior Court Judge, she ‘is a true scholar of the law and a noble public servant who is universally admired for her brilliance, her extraordinary work ethic, and her commitment to justice. Regarded by her peers as a caring mentor, she is an astute legal analyst capable of taking the most complex matter and reducing it to its essence’. I can think of no one more qualified for the Supreme Judicial Court than Judge Botsford, and offer the highest praise to Governor Patrick in choosing to nominate her for one of the nation’s most prestigious courts."
