Boston Bar Foundation Releases Names of Adams Ball Honorees

When the Boston Bar Foundation (BBF) convenes its annual John & Abigail Adams Benefit Ball on Saturday, January 24, 2009, James G. Keefe and Patrick A.T. Lee will be honored with the BBF Public Service Award. These Boston-based real estate developers have been instrumental in revitalizing local neighborhoods and building a more livable city through creative concepts for affordable housing. Co-founders of Trinity Financial, Inc. in 1987, Keefe serves as its President and Lee as Executive Vice President.
Steven H. Wright, the Executive Partner of Holland & Knight LLP's Boston office and lead counsel and strategic advisor for several Fortune 500 companies, will chair this year’s Adams Ball. A Director of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, he was a member of Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s Economic Advisory Board.
James Keefe is the founder of the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation, for which he served as president for seven years, and is also a member and former director of the Citizen’s Housing and Planning Association. He has served on the Boston Landmarks Commission, and as an Assistant Professor at Tufts University Graduate School of Urban and Environmental Policy.
Patrick Lee was Special Assistant to the Secretary of Administration and Finance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, serving as the Secretary’s representative on a number of State boards and agencies, and has served as a Board member of the Massachusetts Government Land Bank, the Roxbury Neighborhood Council, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, the Boston Center for the Arts, and Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses.
The Boston Bar Foundation is at the forefront of efforts to promote public understanding of the law and improve the delivery of justice in Massachusetts. The charitable affiliate of the Boston Bar Association, the BBF is a stalwart supporter of core legal services and an incubator for innovative strategies to engage lawyers in serving the community.
