Save the Date: BBA Annual Meeting
With Neal Katyal as keynote speaker, the Boston Bar Association 2007 Annual Meeting will take place September 25, 2007 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. Katyal, a Professor at Georgetown University Law School is an expert in national security law, the American Constitution, the Geneva Conventions, and the role of the President and Congress post 9-11. Katyal is especially well-known for his success representing a Guantanamo Bay detainee in the landmark case Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, a case former Solicitor General Walter Dellinger called “simply the most important decision on presidential power and the rule of law ever” and The Washington Post called “a huge victory for fundamental American values – and one that will dramatically aid in putting the war against terrorism on a sound legal basis”. |
