Are You A Future Leader?  Apply for the BBA Public Interest Leadership Program

The BBA is currently accepting applications for the Boston Bar Association Public Interest Leadership Program (PILP).  PILP recognizes and engages newer lawyers who have demonstrated leadership in their community by participation in public service, pro bono, and organized bar activities.  Each year, the BBA selects a small group of Public Interest Leaders who have been nominated by their employer or have applied individually, to participate in the program.  PILP participants benefit from a number of programs designed to further their own personal and professional development and leadership skills through seminars, workshops, and networking with community and business leaders.  Each class of Leaders develops their own programs to help their peers learn about public service and civic participation, while encouraging lawyers to participate in these types of activities.  The Leaders also address systemic issues involving access to justice and delivery of legal services.  The program is entering its fifth year.

Candidates should be less than 10 years removed from graduating law school and must be able to commit 250 hours to the program during their program year with the endorsement of their employer.  The application deadline is July 9, 2007.  For an application please click here.  If you have any questions, please contact Paul Dullea, BBA Director of Community Affairs at Pdullea@bostonbar.org or (617) 778-1934.
