| BBA Creates New Privacy Law Committee
Housed within the Intellectual Property Section, the BBA's newly created Privacy Law Committee addresses the full range of issues involved in the collection, use, sharing and securing of personal information, as relevant to Massachusetts-based entities. The areas covered include web site and online privacy; information management practices; physical and system monitoring; healthcare, financial and other sector-specific privacy rules; international data collection and transfers; RFID and other tracking technologies; workplace privacy concerns; and new developments in privacy and compliance law and practice. The committee meets regularly over lunch to discuss issues of interest and new developments in this quickly evolving area of the law. Co-chairing the Privacy Law Committee are Peter Lefkowitz of Oracle Corp. and Mark E Schreiber of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP.* Special thanks to Diana C. Eckstein of Malone & Associates, P.C. for organizing the Brown Bag Lunch on the topic and generating interest among members of the bar. *BBA Sponsor Firm |
