BBA Announces Winner of Distinguished Legislator Award
BBA President-Elect Tony Doniger today announced that Rep. Robert A. DeLeo (D-Winthrop), Chairman of the House Committee on Ways & Means will be the recipient of the BBA's Distinguished Legislator Award. The award will be presented at the BBA’s Annual Meeting Luncheon on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. Rep. DeLeo will be honored for his steadfast support of funding for civil legal services. Previous winners of this award include Speaker Salvatore DiMasi, Senate President Therese Murray, and Chairmen of the Joint Committee on the Judiciary, Rep. Eugene L. O'Flaherty and Sen. Robert Creedon.
