BBF’s 2006 John & Abigail Adams Benefit Ball a Huge Success! The Boston Bar Foundation’s 2006 John & Abigail Adam Benefit Ball, held on Saturday, November 4, 2006, was a tremendous success, raising over $600,000 and drawing a record number of event sponsors. Proceeds from the annual Adams Ball fund immediate grants to legal aid organizations that provide civil legal aid to disadvantaged and underserved individuals in Greater Boston, and also to programs that facilitate community service and pro bono activities by lawyers. Jack Connors, Jr. was presented with the 2006 Public Service Award for his lifetime of civic leadership, philanthropy and service to the city of Boston. Congratulations to John D. Donovan, Jr. of Ropes & Gray LLP, who served as this year’s Event Chair, and to the members of the 2006 Dinner Committee.
