"Who is your most or least favorite celebrity and why?"

Gary S. Cooper - Goodwin Procter LLP
"My least favorite celebrity is Jerry Springer (although Rachel Ray is a close second).  His exploitation of the baser aspects of human behavior for its shock appeal is pretty disgusting."

Julia Huston - Bromberg & Sunstein LLP
"I can't say that I have a favorite or least favorite celebrity.  To be honest, I have never understood the celebrity culture.  It seems that celebrities are often glorified for who they are rather than for what they do.  Paris Hilton seems to be a good example of that."

Wm. Shaw McDermott - K&L Gates
"In the world of the 'celebrated,' I most admire David Brooks, the New York Times columnist and regular commentator on political talk shows. Mr. Brooks has a keen eye for the social and political trends that escape the notice of the ordinary observer in his trade.  He invariably describes fairly the perspectives of others across a broad spectrum of political and social opinion, even those with whom he does not agree.  He announces his own personal conclusions in a way that makes his own values and even biases transparent.  He has a very good sense of humor that prevents taking himself too seriously.  He is modest, recognizing that often the greatest contributions to human welfare come not from the 'celebrity' class, but from individuals, organizations, and communities toiling in relative obscurity."

Daniel J. Dwyer - Hanify & King, P.C.
"[My least favorite celebrity is] Paris Hilton. If I have to explain, then we don't agree."
