Hats Off to Leiha Macauley

On New Year's Day, Leiha Macauley of Day Pitney* was featured in a Boston Globe story about people volunteering their time to make a difference in the lives of others.  Eleven years ago, when Leiha was in law school, she began mentoring a disadvantaged 11 year old living in Jamaica Plain. The 11 year old is now a sophomore at Newbury College, but Leiha is still her mentor.  As the story notes, Leiha's "burgeoning law career is not [her] only source of satisfaction."  An alum of the BBA's Public Interest Leadership Program and a trustee of the Boston Bar Foundation, Leiha started the Child Health Advocacy Partnership, an initiative involving a number of lawyers from Day Pitney.
