In Memoriam: David A. Brown

The BBA mourns the loss of David A. Brown, a senior partner at Sherin and Lodgen LLP who died of a heart attack at age 47 on January 19 while skiing with family and friends in New Hampshire.  An active and respected member of the Bar, David had been scheduled to speak at the BBA Environmental Law Section's next meeting on Friday, January 25, which has been canceled.  His practice concentrated on complex business and real estate litigation.  The BBA extends its condolences to his wife, Mary B. Griffin, MA Commissioner of the Department of Fish and Game, and his entire family.

A loving father, husband, brother and friend, his dry wit and congeniality will be sorely missed.  Visiting hours will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25th at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham, MA 02043. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at Old South Union Church, 25 Columbian Street, South Weymouth, MA.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to South Shore Day Care Services, Inc., 200 Middle Street East Weymouth, MA 02189, a child services organization.
